Posted by Joseph Iwaye on Sunday, April 11, 2021, In : christian messages

Today, I bring the word of God to you from Acts 1:6-9

Scripture: Acts 1:6-9

Act 1:6  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Act 1:7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Act 1:8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all ...

How to receive the peace of God

Posted by Joseph Iwaye on Thursday, March 14, 2013, In : christian messages

peace birdPeace in the form of perfect calm and serenity comes from God and God alone. The peace of God does not necessary mean the absence of trouble but the presence of inner joy and happiness. If your heart is troubled and it seems as if you have lost your peace of mind, all you need is the intervention of The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6-7). Jesus is the Prince of Peace. A few instructions from His word will calm the turbulent ocean of your heart and restore your peace of mind.

Repent of sin...

Murdered Twice Yet Alive

Posted by Joseph Iwaye on Thursday, September 20, 2012, In : christian messages

Jesus on the crossRevelation 13:8 reveals to us that the Lamb of God was slain from the foundation of the world. What an interesting scripture! But how come? Because we know Jesus as the Lamb of God (John 1:29). He came to this world just around 2045 years ago and was crucified some 2012 years ago. As we know, the world has been in existence long before Christ was born into this world. So how come the scripture says He was slain before the foundation of the world? And who actually slay him from the fou...

Beware of Pride

Posted by Joseph Iwaye on Sunday, April 15, 2012, In : christian messages

God expect every of his children to grow up to maturity (1Peter 2:2) after being born again. It is lack of spiritual growth that usually brings backsliding. Growing spiritually involves some effort as well as total reliance of the grace of God; Effort in the area of praise, worship, prayer, studying the word of God and obedience to the Holy Spirit inspired message of God (the bible). Lack of obedient to the word of God will certainly hinder Christian spiritual growth. One of such important wo...

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last (Revelation 22:12-13)

That Jesus is coming back again to me is incontrovertible, but the world today has lost that hope. Satan has even made some Christians to believe that Jesus is not coming back to any...

Well the significance can be...
