Posted by Joseph Iwaye on Monday, February 15, 2016, In : Christian Devotions

man in the wilderness

Because you couldn’t find the right answers, you become frustrated both physically, spiritually and emotionally. As a believer, if you are in this kind of situation for too long, you ...

Light, as we all know, is very important in human life. Imagine a sudden absence of all form of light (the sun, the moon, electricity, solar, etc) in the whole world. What do you think? A beautiful dark world or a disgusting and awful dark planet to live in? I guess your answer is as good as mine: The world will be a miserable place to live in! Sorrow will not be uncommon! The future will be gloomy! And death will be commonplace.  Believe me or not, such is the situation with everyone who doe...

Beware of Envy

Posted by Joseph Iwaye on Saturday, June 7, 2014, In : Christian Devotions

Daniel enviedToday, I’m going to write briefly on envy. I was reading the story of Daniel (Daniel 6:1-28) when I discovered a few things that I felt I should share with you today. Having finished reading the story in Daniel chapter 6 and saw what happened to Daniel’s accusers, I realised that it all started with envy. Some benefits of divine visions (Part 1)

Posted by Joseph Iwaye on Saturday, December 21, 2013, In : Christian Devotions

“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7)

man seing vision of fear notDivine visions are dreams and revelations that come from God. God sometimes opens the eyes of his beloved children to see the invisible (Job 4:12-17) and keep them abreast of coming events. The power to see beyond the physical is gift that every Christian should crave for; and not just craved for, but earnestly prayed for (2Kings 6:17, Jeremiah 33:3).

There are benefits associ...

Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 17:9-11

Memory Verse

“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered” (Proverbs 28:26)

heart and a stoneWhen it comes to taking important decisions, people often say “follow your heart”. Beloved friend, this is dangerous! The heart can be very deceitful. It has deceived many in the past into committing crime and it’s still doing so today. Jeremiah 17:9 says “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked: w...

Christian Devotions Memory Verse
For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? (Psalm 89:6 KJV)

Love between man and womanIn our devotion last week, we examined God as incomparable in power and holiness. We continue today by looking into another attributes of God - love and mercy.

Sometime ago, a friend asked me this question “if God loves us, why does He allow children to die?” I looked at him and concluded wi...

Christian Devotions Memory Verse

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen. (2Peter 3:18 KJV)

gifts of knowledgeIn the kingdom of God, knowledge plays a significant role in the life of all the children of God. What you know about God has a direct relationship with what you get from him. What differentiates outstanding Christians from ordinary believers has a lot do with what they know about God and how they u...
