lady showing hate signsFrom one generation to another, many people have hated the Lord Jesus Christ and his followers. Today, many Christians are being killed for their faith. Recently, in northern Nigeria, Boko-Haram members entered into a church and murdered an entire congregation. Why? Why are Christians so hated? Well, the reasons are not far-fetched. Let's briefly look into two scriptural explanation behind Christian hate, so that when you suddenly discovered that you are hated for your faith, you will not be moved.

Heavenly Inheritance

Christians are hated because of the heavenly inheritance which the Lord has prepared for them (1Corinthians 2:9). Satan has been busy inspiring other false religion against the followers of Christ because he knows that Christians are not actually of this world but are the candidates of heavenly inheritance which he lost when he was ejected out of heaven. In John 15:18-19 Jesus said:

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Beloved, do not be moved if your friends, colleagues and families hate you because of your faith. The Lord Jesus has chosen you for a blessing both on earth and in the heavens (Matthew 25:34, Psalm 31:19).

The light of the world

Why do people hate Christ and you? Another explanation is that you are hated because you are light but they are darkness. Those in the kingdom of darkness will generally hate you because they are afraid that you will expose their evil deeds (John 3:19-20). Do you think the witches and wizards will like you when they bind someone with sickness but you set the person free through prayers? Beloved, they won’t. Instead, they will hate you with passions. But do not worry for God loves and cares for you. You are precious than Gold. In fact, the scripture says that you are the apples of God’s eye (Zechariah 2:8).

Salvation first

Are you born again? There is a big difference between being a church goer and being born again. A church goer may not necessarily be a child of God but he that is born again. If you are not born again, you are not saved and you may not inherit the kingdom of God. Christ inheritance is for the true children of God. Becoming a true child of God is very easy: All you need do is to surrender your life to Jesus Christ. To do this, simply say these prayers of salvation audibly and repent from all known sins. Please do it right away. Tomorrow might be too late!  God bless you.
